What a solar system costs in Peshawar

We are asked for a price before we are asked anything else, and we understand why. But a solar system is not a product with a shelf price; it is four or five separate purchases that happen to be installed together. Here is what actually moves the figure.

1. Whether there is a battery

This is the largest single factor. A hybrid system with lithium storage costs roughly twice a daytime system of the same panel capacity. If you are comparing two quotations and one is far cheaper, check first whether it includes a battery at all.

2. Panel capacity, priced per watt

Compare panels on price per watt, not on the price of one module. A 605 W panel and a 590 W panel are not the same product, so comparing their prices tells you nothing.

Higher-wattage panels also mean fewer modules for the same array, which means less structure and less wiring. The saving is often there rather than in the module price.

Current prices for everything we stock are on the solar panels page, taken from the same catalogue our quotations are priced from.

3. The inverter

Sized to the load you run at once, not to your bill. A hybrid inverter costs considerably more than a daytime one because it manages a battery as well. Within each type the spread between brands is real but smaller than people expect.

4. The parts nobody itemises

This is where quotations differ most, and where customers are most often short-changed:

  • Mounting structure. L2 rails, elevated 16 or 18 gauge frames, or an H-guarder with channel, depending on the roof and the wind. The structure is the thing that fails first in this region. A quotation that does not say which one you are getting is hiding something.
  • Protection equipment. Breakers, surge protection, isolators, earthing. Not optional, and not free.
  • Wiring. DC and AC, in the right gauge for the run.
  • Installation and commissioning.
  • Transport, which depends on how far you are from Peshawar.

Every quotation we issue itemises these separately. If you are comparing us with someone else, ask them to do the same. A single total with no breakdown is impossible to compare and usually hides a thinner structure or no surge protection.

Why we will not publish one price

Because it would be a guess, and you would hold us to it. Two houses with the same bill can need quite different systems depending on when they use power, what the roof can carry, and how much shading there is through the day.

What we do instead: you tell us what you run, we calculate the load, and we send an itemised quotation that holds for seven days. There is no charge for it and no obligation.

What it costs to own

Very little. Rinse the panels with plain water every couple of months in dry weather — dust is the biggest avoidable loss here and a neglected array can lose around a tenth of its output. Panels carry a 25-year performance warranty and inverters five years, and we handle warranty claims with the manufacturer rather than sending you to them.

The one component with a finite life is the battery, at eight to ten years for lithium. Budget for that at the start and the arithmetic over twenty years looks very different from the arithmetic over two.

Start with the load calculator and we will do the rest.
