Solar for shops, offices and workshops
Commercial premises are usually the best case for solar, because the hours they consume power are the hours the sun is up. A shop that opens at nine and closes at eight, an office running air conditioning through the afternoon, a workshop with motors on all day — each is drawing most heavily exactly when an array generates most, which means almost every unit generated is a unit not bought. That is why a daytime system often returns its cost faster for a business than a far larger system does for a house.
Inverters we fit

Everything listed is supplied and fitted by our own engineers. We price a system from your actual load rather than publishing rates that move with the exchange rate — ask us and your quotation comes back itemised line by line, at no charge.
Why daylight matters more than size
For a household the awkward truth is that generation peaks while everybody is out. For a business it is the opposite: the load and the sun line up, so a system can be sized to the daytime consumption and run close to fully used.
That also means a battery is often unnecessary. Storage exists to move energy from the afternoon to the evening, and a business that is closed in the evening has nothing to move. Where premises do trade late, or where an outage stops work rather than merely inconveniencing it, a hybrid system with lithium storage is the right answer — but it should be a decision, not a default.
What we need to size it
A list of what runs and for how long: refrigeration, air conditioning, lighting, motors, compressors, computers, and anything that starts under load. Motors matter out of proportion to their rating, because a compressor can draw several times its running figure for a moment at startup and an inverter that cannot supply that will trip.
Your trading hours, which decide whether storage is worth anything to you.
A recent bill, as a cross-check on the load list rather than as the basis for the design.
Working around a business
We schedule the noisy and disruptive parts around your trading hours wherever the roof allows it, and the structure work usually can be done without closing. We will tell you plainly at the survey if some part of the job genuinely needs the premises shut, rather than discovering it on the day.
Net metering is handled end to end, which matters more for commercial premises than domestic ones: an array sized to a daytime load will often have surplus on a quiet day, and exporting it is better than curtailing it.
After-sales, which is the part that matters
A fault at home is an inconvenience. A fault in a shop with refrigeration is stock. We repair inverters at board level in our own Peshawar workshop, on every major brand including units we did not supply, so a fault is usually a visit rather than a unit posted away.
Call us rather than the manufacturer. We handle warranty claims on your behalf — five years on the inverters we supply, twenty-five on panel performance.
Questions we are asked
Does a shop need batteries?
Usually not, if it closes in the evening. Storage moves energy from the afternoon into the night, and premises that are shut at night have nothing to move. Where you trade late, or where an outage stops work rather than just inconveniencing it, storage earns its cost.
Will the installation close my business?
Generally not. Structure and panel work happens on the roof and the disruptive parts can usually be scheduled around trading hours. If some part of your job genuinely needs the premises shut, we will say so at the survey rather than on the day.
How do you size a system for commercial premises?
From the load running at once, with headroom for motors starting, and from your trading hours. A bill is a cross-check, not a design. Refrigeration, compressors and air conditioning are the items that decide the inverter.
Do you handle net metering for businesses?
Yes, end to end, and it matters more here than for a house: a system sized to a daytime load will often have surplus on a quiet day, and exporting it is better than throwing it away.
